About
My husband and I have been the recipient of Karen’s Caring Kitchen before it was organized. Karen reached out and brought us meals at least twice a week while I was in treatment for my cancer. It does more than give you a few seconds of relief. This, lets you know that someone cares and gives your caregiver a brief moment of normalcy. You get to relax for a moment and enjoy a meal together. This is a beautiful thing.

Our Story
In 2018 I lost my brother to cancer. One of the challenges that stuck with me was watching his family run from appointment to appointment and grabbing whatever fast food they could along the way to eat.
For the past several years I have been cooking for families impacted by cancer at least twice a week – to make sure they had a few nights of a home cooked meal. My goal was to take just 5 seconds of pressure off them.
In order to reach more families, we started Karen’s Caring Kitchen, a non-profit 501(c)(3), partnering with oncologists for referrals. The goal is to share the gift of a meal and help as many families as I can.
